Artista Studio was formed by six designers: Katalin Imre, Juli Ivan, Abel Köves, Nora Rácz,Edina Schön and Kati Stampf in 1993, in Budapest. From the very start the designers aim was to create a unique mood / image, paying attention to the details of styling besides creating the Artista collections. Artista has its own production background; besides producing their "one offs" they also make clothes to order in their own workshop but also produce limited runs of ranges of designs using outside sub-contractors. Artista has made a lot of its own fashion shows in Budapest and Vienna, where the show styling elements, the venue, lighting, models, make up etc. were given a strong emphasis. The Artista clothes and shows have received a wide media coverage in Budapest, Vienna and London. Between 1998 and 2000 Artista worked on the development of a major Internet based technology with a U.K. company as fashion and clothing experts Building on creativity and experiences Artista's activities expanded to creative areas such as film & commercial styling, event management & concepts.
