Aski Kataski´s designer Katsuhiro MAKINO uses antique materials and commonplace garments from 19th century to 1940's to create his pieces. The name of the label derives from an incantation "Aski-kataski-haix-tetrax-damnameneus-aision" which means "darkness, light, earth, sun, and truth". As ancient priests used to recite these words to protect people from devils, Makino hopes his creation becomes a talisman of people who wear his clothes.
