Jonathan Trotter

Great Blog Designboom introduced the work of ceramic artist Jonathan Trotter. Thanks!

What Jonathan says about his work:
"PRESERVING ENGLISH TRADITION IS AN IMPORTANT CONCEPT THROUGHOUT MY WORK. USING CERAMICS, CONTEMPORARY PROCESSES AND MATERIALS I CREATE OBJECTS WHICH CELEBRATE BRITISH SOCIETY AND DOMESTIC WARES.
I REINVENT FAMILIAR DOMESTIC OBJECTS INTO CONTEMPORARY PIECES WHICH ECHO TRADITIONAL VALUES THROUGH THEIR FORMS."

A Cup of Jo - Blog

One of the blogs I really like is A Cup of Jo. It´s the blog of Joanna Goddard who is a magazine writer in New York and works for magazines like New York, Cookie, Elle, Glamour and Town & Country Travel.

I like her selection of Art, Photography, Fashion, Design and the posts about the people around her. I often have the feeling of daydreaming when I go through her images. Inspiring!

Taking a walk...

I took a wonderful walk around the little streets and alleys where I live this morning. I passed wineyards, picturesque little gardens and absolutely great houses. Unfortunately I didn`t have my camera with me this time, but in the future I will post some pictures from my strolls around town and countryside. You`ll love it!

Guerrilla Gardening

Guerrilla gardening is political gardening, a form of nonviolent direct action, primarily practiced by environmentalists. It is related to land rights, land reform, and permaculture. Activists take over ("squat") an abandoned piece of land which they do not own to grow crops or plants. Guerrilla gardeners believe in re-considering land ownership in order to reclaim land from perceived neglect or misuse and assign a new purpose to it.
Of course some Guerrilla gardeners just want to make to city they live in a more beautiful place.

Daylesford Organic - Onlineshop

A great onlineshop I read about on Onefloorup is Daylesford Organic.

They say: "We specialise in what is organic, fresh, seasonal and local: vegetables, fresh from our kitchen gardens; award-winning handmade cheeses from our organic Creamery; breads, pastries, cakes and biscuits from our organic Bakery; foods from the chefs in our kitchens; fresh meat from our organic estate in Staffordshire; and, of course, you can dine at our restaurant and Café at the Farmshop, where you will find everything under one award-winning roof."

In addition to food, wine, pet, home, garden and body items, one can find some nice recipes!
